How Training With Summa Fitness Works
A simple, guided way to get started
We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all programs or rushing people into packages.
Instead, we take the time to understand you—your goals, movement history, and lifestyle—so we can recommend the right place to start.
Whether you’re new to training, returning after time off, or looking for more structured coaching, our process is designed to be clear, supportive, and low-pressure.
Step 1: Tell Us About Yourself
You’ll start by filling out a short intake form.
This helps us understand:
-
what you’re working toward
-
your current training experience
-
any injuries or limitations we should be aware of
The form only takes a few minutes, and there’s no commitment. It simply helps us prepare so your next step is more productive.
Step 2: Free Assessment Session
Next, we’ll invite you to a free assessment session.
This is a relaxed, no-pressure conversation where we:
-
talk through your goals and expectations
-
assess movement, mobility, and strength as needed
-
answer any questions you have about training options
You don’t need to be “in shape” to do this.
The goal is clarity—not testing or performance.
You’ll leave with a better understanding of where you’re at and what to focus on moving forward.
Step 3: Clear Recommendation
After the assessment, we’ll recommend the training option that makes the most sense for you.
This may include:
-
private 1-on-1 training
-
small-group training
-
online coaching
-
athlete performance training
We’ll explain why we’re recommending that path and what it would look like over the next phase of training.
We don’t push packages. We guide you toward what will actually help.
Step 4: Get Started (If It’s a Good Fit)
If everything feels like a good fit, we’ll get you scheduled and moving forward with a clear plan.
No confusion.
No pressure.
Just a focused starting point that makes sense for you.
If you decide it’s not the right time, that’s okay too—you’ll still leave with useful direction.
Is This the Right Fit?
This approach works best for people who:
-
want coaching, structure, and accountability
-
care about long-term progress and movement quality
-
prefer a calm, focused training environment
-
want guidance instead of guessing what to do next
It may not be the best fit if you’re looking for:
-
drop-in group classes
-
a high-energy, crowded gym atmosphere
-
the cheapest option available
Common Questions

What if I’m new to training or returning after time off?
